Information on the Tier 5 (Government Authorised Exchange - Sponsored Researcher) visa and the visitor visa categories
The University is proud to host a high number of visitors each year, either as sponsored researchers under the Tier 5 (Government Authorised Exchange) visa route, or one of the Standard Visitor isa routes. The Staff Immigration team works closely with host departments and colleges to find the best suited visa option for the visitor in question. This is to ensure that visitors enter the UK under the correct visa route, reduces the risk of visa refusals and ensures that the visitor undertakes activities which are permissible under their visa.
