Global Talent visa costs

Information on the costs related to the Global Talent endorsement and visa application

The Global Talent visa fee is payable in two parts:

  • Stage 1: endorsement fee
  • Stage 2: Visa application fee and Immigration Health Surcharge fee.

A break down of these can be found below.

 

The University of Oxford reimbursement policy webpage sets out which of these costs can be covered by the employing department/ faculty.

The University also provides a Visa Loan Scheme to can help applicants with the costs of visa, ILR, and citizenship applications. As the Visa Loan Scheme is administered through the University payroll system it is not, unfortunately, available to those with 'college only' appointments.

Endorsement and visa fees

The following table shows the cost of the initial Global talent endorsement and visa fees. 

Immigration Health (NHS) Surcharge (£1,035 per year, or £776 for applicants under the age of 18 and is based on the duration of the visa) is added on top of this.

*If an endorsement application is refused, the £524 endorsement fee is not refunded by the Home Office. 

Card payments 

If a 'Family group' visa application is being submitted within the UK for the main applicant and dependants, the visa application fee and Immigration Health (NHS) Surcharge will be charged as one combined fee with cannot be split across more than one payment card. Applicants may need to contact their bank before they pay the on their card to avoid this being stopped or delayed as an unusually large purchase.

 
 

Visa extension costs

The following table shows the cost of Global Talent, visa and leave to remain applications for both the main applicant and dependants. Immigration Health surcharge (£1,035 per year, or £776 for applicants under the age of 18 and is based on the duration of the visa) is added on top of this.

Those applying under Global Talent, and their dependants, will have to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge (NHS Surcharge)  in addition to the relevant visa application fees when submitting their visa application(s).
